It all began in 1950 with a simple idea and a shared ambition.
The designers at Volkswagen and the team at Westfalia had one goal: freedom on four wheels.
The original VW Transporter, affectionately known as the T1 or “Splitty” became more than just a van. It became a movement. A vessel for dreamers, adventurers, and free spirits that carried them across continents and into history.
Over the decades, the Transporter embedded itself into the cultural bloodstream, a symbol of escape, versatility, and possibility. It evolved with the times, faster, tougher, and smarter, from the flower power revolution to the remote work era of the 21st century.
The Shillingstone isn’t just another campervan.

MATERIALS & DETAILING
Cork-lined walls first welcome you and then to the seamless cabinetry, everything is selected, shaped, and finished to a standard that speaks for itself. There is no visible branding, no gloss for gloss’s sake. Just honest, refined craft.

Hidden touches like our custom-fabricated panel fixings, the soft-close drawers activated with a light push, and the timelessness of the hand-stitched finishes that elevate the interior to a level that feels indulgent and welcoming.
KITCHEN
Function, built-in. our unique designed kitchen is defined by its clean and delicate lines. The swing-out kitchen is a masterclass in design, something that looks so simple finished to an aerospace engineering level, along with the stunning curves and yes its, book ended carpentry!
The swing-out kitchen allows you to cook alfresco, with everything you need right at your fingertips. Plus, with hot and cold water, you have the flexibility to wash up or refresh as you please.
SLEEPING
Rest easy. The Shillingstone range makes sure you sleep in comfort, with all the little touches that make a big difference. The Riemo pop-top roof gives you the freedom to stretch out with a fully sprung mattress, and the gorgeous cork-lined bed board and Alcantara roof lining add to the feeling of quiet luxury.
Whether you are at a remote campsite or parked by the beach, the quiet comfort of this space allows for a perfect night’s sleep, withvirtually silent heating, year-round camping is completely possible, ensuring you’ll never miss a night under the stars.
The ride is level, adaptive, and composed. VB air suspension handles terrain without drama. Inside, bespoke Van Haven touches such as our alcantara cab lining and internal optics are finished off perfectly with our new and exclusive leather dash panels. This along with the Portuguese cork surfaces really creates an environment that you would not expect from a campervan.
All of this contributes to an environment that’s as luxurious as it is functional. Whether you’re loving the open roads or parked up for the night, the Shillingstone honestly provides you a sense of effortless luxury and refinement.
No culture shock coming from a hotel to a van was the mission and the comfort in motion was something that took us many months to master. Something we are very proud of.
